Psychotherapy

From my base in Lincolnshire, I offer talking therapy either in person or online.

Talking therapy, also known as psychotherapy, is a treatment method that involves discussing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained therapist.  The aim is to help you understand yourself better, resolve issues, and develop healthier ways to cope with life's challenges.

In our sessions, you'll find a confidential and non-judgmental safe space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings.

And I believe that every individual's experience is unique, and therefore, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.  So, we’ll work at your pace and with an approach that suits you, ensuring that the therapy you receive is both helpful and affirming.

These are some of the concerns that we could work on –

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Depression

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Self-esteem issues

  • Grief, bereavement or loss

  • Life transitions

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Medical and health concerns

  • Childhood trauma

  • Workplace stress

  • Phobias

  • Body image issues

  • Addiction and substance abuse

  • Anger management

  • Parenting challenges

  • Personal growth & development

Neurodivergent
therapy

Being an autistic therapist myself, I deeply understand the importance of creating a therapeutic environment that is accessible and respectful of neurodivergent experiences.

My approach is centred on recognising and honouring your individuality, providing therapy that supports your specific needs and preferences.

Where do therapy sessions take place?

Therapy sessions are conducted in a safe, confidential environment designed to make you feel comfortable.  This can be either in-person at my therapy room or via a secure online platform if you prefer virtual sessions.

How do therapy
sessions work?

During therapy sessions, we will explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to better understand and address your concerns.  It's a collaborative process where you set the pace, and we work together towards your goals.

How long is each session?

Each therapy session typically lasts around 50 minutes.  This time frame allows us to focus effectively on the matters at hand while providing you with enough time to process the discussion afterward.

How many sessions
will I need?

The number of sessions required varies for each individual depending on their unique situation and goals.  Some may find a few sessions sufficient, while others might benefit from ongoing therapy.  We'll discuss this during your initial consultation to tailor a plan that suits you.
